Debra House – Braddock, PA – Homeless Shelter
LAOH Division 7 of Turtle Creek and AOH Division 17 of Monroeville coupled together to contribute much needed items to Debra House in Braddock, PA. Among the items donated were two sets of 24 dishes, several bags of baby clothes, high chair with matching Pack n Play, Diaper Bags, Diapers and a tricycle.
One cannot describe the beauty of Debra House which is located in what was once St. Brendon’s Parish in Braddock. We were greeted with open arms and taken into what once was the Parish House. The grace and beauty of God was present and felt. We were humbled to take part in helping these families to continue our mission.
As the Women’s Prayer States:
“Grant us your gift of Godliness…a reverence for you. Instill in our hearts the spirit of holy Joy…the joy that sanctifies…the joy that gives…the joy of one who loves…the joy that imparts to others the spirit born of self-control. Make us Peace-seeking women…instruments of your peace…directed by your Wisdom, bridge builders…working with others for justice to bring about true peace.”
