Our Division 7 was adequately represented at the 98th Annual PA State Convention in Valley Forge at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel, by our President Bonnie Taylor, Vice President Kathy O’Neill, Recording Secretary & Press and Publicity Lori Butler and Michelle Mulraney. All attended the Thursday afternoon general meeting session and Friday morning general session. Michelle also attended the Thursday morning committee meeting sessions.
A mass was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick’s of Norrisville with installation of new officers immediately following. Prior to the mass a Mexican wedding took place at St. Patrick and it was wonderful to see how our Catholic religion spans cultures and connects us all as two worlds – a mariachi band and Bag Pipes and Drums stood together in front of St. Patrick.
A well-deserved congratulations to Kathleen Diulus our County Board President on Kathleen’s elected office as the State Missions and Charities Officer and a humble thank you to Kathleen on her appointment of myself, Lori Butler, as County Press and Publicity. The Convention closed with a banquet in the Grand Ballroom at the Doubletree, spirits were high as the banquet opened with Irish Thunder Bag Pipes and Drums, of Montgomery County Division 1.
